Philips LED lighting retrofit British student apartments

　　Unite Students build the UK's largest student accommodation operator, recently, Philips Lighting, said the installation of LED lighting has signed a contract with the agency. The total contract price for twenty-one million pounds (about two hundred twenty million yuan), where  9.6 million funded by Unite Students, the remaining funds provided by the UK joint investment partners. Contract program will enhance the quality of lighting throughout the Unite Students property in the next two years. The contract for the construction and the UK more than 41,000 students in 23 towns and cities to provide improved physical space and energy efficiency savings.

　　Is expected to install more than 300,000 new lamps and 85,000 sensors and dimmers, and return on investment is expected to be completed in five years after the lighting upgrade, the contract includes a corridor, kitchen, recreation room, lounge and reception areas, as well as outdoor areas the LED lighting. Each student dormitory will also be equipped with a dimmer and Philips LivingColors lights change color.

　　Unite Students Richard Smith, general manager, said: "The new lighting will provide students with a more personalized and more intimate social learning space, while reducing the carbon footprint, it will significantly reduce the long-life LED light maintenance work."
