Residential and commercial lighting is the key to energy saving and environmental protection

The commercial part mainly includes the application of LED in residential and commercial parts. In these fields, LEDs have been widely used in residential kitchens, corridors and bathrooms, as well as some offices and commercial places. The U.S. Department of Energy estimates that at least 500 million spotlights are installed in American households, and the annual sales volume exceeds 20 million. LED technology can reduce the wattage of spotlights by more than 75%. The development trend of smart buildings, green buildings and smart homes is expected to promote the application of LED research. LED recessed lights and wall lights are good examples.

In September 2019, Signify (Philips Lighting) launched three different sizes of filament LED bulbs. At the International Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin, Germany, Signify also announced the launch of more intelligent lighting systems in the Hue series, aimed at capturing more entertainment-oriented basic users. In May 2020, Fluence, headquartered in the United States, launched four additional spectra on its LED VYPR top light series, and its efficacy reached the market-leading 3.8 mol/J. The VYPR series is built for year-round greenhouses and indoor cultivation machines. It enables growers to maintain predictable yields, increase crop yields, and improve plant quality compared to traditional production systems.

It is estimated that by 2035, LED lighting technology applied in commercial and residential areas is the main driving factor for energy conservation and environmental protection in the United States.
