Road lighting in Jinshanwei Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai

Since July 15, villagers in the central section of Bayi Village, Jinshanwei Town, Jinshan District, Shanghai, were pleasantly surprised to find that the originally dark road was illuminated by the newly installed street lights, and the road traffic conditions have been significantly improved.

The central section of Bayi Village is close to the main road of Longhang Road. With the development of the city, it has gradually become an important section for daily traffic for nearby enterprises and villagers. In the past, the lack of street lights brought great inconvenience to the villagers and employees of surrounding enterprises, and there were certain safety hazards.

In order to solve this problem, Bayi Village, Jinshanwei Town, included the lighting of the central road in this year's "One Branch One Practical Thing" project, and installed street lights for the central section together with the paired units, filling the gap in rural infrastructure.

"Now we don't have to worry about working overtime too late, it really did a good thing for us." Zhang Chunwei, an employee working in a company near the central road, said.

It is reported that the Bayi Village road lighting project is just one of the "One Branch One Practical Thing" projects in Jinshanwei Town.

This year, Jinshanwei Town has formulated a list of commitments for "one branch, one practical matter" around facilities renovation, environmental improvement, conflict resolution, property management, and strengthening of village-level collective economy, and launched a total of 23 practical projects closely related to the lives of the people, involving the addition of electric vehicle charging piles, the construction of fitness and leisure spots, the implementation of community parking space renovation, the promotion of old and damaged road wall repairs, and the provision of warmth to the poor.

At present, with the orderly implementation of various practical projects, residents have also experienced a real sense of happiness.
