Road lighting project in Daxueshan Town, Yunlian County, Yibin, Sichuan

Recently, Daxueshan Town, Yunlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, implemented a number of people-friendly lighting projects, installing solar street lights on the main roads of villages (communities) under its jurisdiction, effectively improving the conditions for people to travel at night, and further enhancing the sense of gain, happiness and security of the general public.

Previously, due to insufficient lighting, some roads in the jurisdiction had safety hazards at night. After collecting opinions through channels such as residents' councils and grid member visits, the People's Government of Daxueshan Town listed the installation of street lights as an annual key livelihood project, organized on-site surveys in various villages (communities), scientifically planned the locations of street lights, overcame difficulties such as weather and terrain, and made every effort to promote the progress of street light installation. A total of 325 solar LED street lights were installed, covering 16.25 kilometers of roads, benefiting more than 1,600 households.

"Students used to use flashlights to go home from school at night, but now the whole road is bright and it is much safer to go home!" said villager Li Guohong happily. This project is not only a vivid embodiment of the practice of "I do practical things for the people", but also a warm footnote for jointly building a livable home.
