Six alumni and fellow townspeople from Wuxi County, Chongqing donated 164 streetlights to their alma mater

On November 17, Jianshan Middle School in Wuxi County, Chongqing, received a generous donation of 164 solar streetlights from six of its alumni and fellow townspeople. These streetlights will enhance the campus environment, improve safety for teachers and students, and benefit the surrounding community.

The villages around Jianshan Middle School have long faced a lack of adequate road lighting, making nighttime travel difficult and unsafe for students, teachers, and local residents. Upon learning of this issue, Li Shiquan, a concerned alumnus, took the initiative to rally support. Together with fellow alumni and entrepreneurs Chen Lin, Li Bolin, Xiang Qiping, Fu Xiaolin, and Huang Zhixuan, he contributed 150,000 yuan to fund the donation of these streetlights to their alma mater.

Once installed, the solar-powered streetlights will illuminate a 2-kilometer radius around the campus, providing safer and more convenient travel for teachers, students, and the public. This initiative not only improves the infrastructure around the school but also adds an extra layer of safety for everyone commuting at night.
