"Smart integrated poles" are online in the Jinji Lake area of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province

Recently, the poles in the Jinji Lake area of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, which were originally hung with different cameras, lighting fixtures, and power boxes, have disappeared. Instead, smart integrated poles that integrate multiple functional devices such as lighting and monitoring have been replaced. These smart integrated poles not only make the regional environment more tidy and orderly, but also the lead-gray texture complements the modern and technological urban style of the park.

The pole body of the smart integrated pole is a system, which is composed of integrated poles, integrated boxes, integrated pipelines and other ancillary facilities and is designed in an integrated manner. It provides guarantees for the installation of facilities on poles and in boxes, the laying of cables in pipelines, and power supply. It is a new type of public infrastructure.

In the past, whether it was guide signs, communication base stations, video surveillance or supporting boxes, they were all set up by various line management units according to their own needs, which not only caused repeated construction and excavation, and the phenomenon of multiple poles and multiple boxes, but also affected the visual perception due to different shapes and sizes.

In order to better promote the implementation of the project and meet the needs of refined and intelligent urban management, the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau of the Park conducted research on various types of infrastructure in the early stage and sorted out 17 types of mounting requirements of relevant bureaus. During the construction process, the underground part of the smart integrated pole pre-buried a total of 6 strong and weak current pipelines to facilitate the subsequent expansion of the carrying function. The relevant equipment can be quickly installed with universal connectors and can be flexibly adjusted according to business needs, reducing the difficulty of management and maintenance.

In addition, the implementation of the project is based on the actual needs of the surrounding areas of Jinji Lake. The smart integrated pole is mainly equipped with intelligent equipment such as lighting, information release, video surveillance, water monitoring, 5G base stations, etc. Some parking lots have carried out charging pilots. In the future, it will also expand application scenarios such as smart spray and smart seats to continuously improve the service capabilities of smart integrated poles and continuously improve the convenience of citizens' leisure travel.

It is understood that in the past, there were more than 2,200 poles of various sizes erected in the area around Jinji Lake. The smart integrated poles have reduced the number of poles to 1,400 by integrating multiple poles, multiple boxes, and multiple tubes into one, reducing more than 4,300 signs of various types, and sharing 120 videos across departments, solving the landscape problem of "multiple poles with different styles", which greatly improves the visual comfort of the space.
