Coupled with the widespread application of new-generation information technologies such as the Internet of Things, the next-generation Internet, and cloud computing, smart cities have become an inevitable trend.

As an important part of a smart city, smart street lights have been highly valued and promoted by relevant departments. According to the information obtained, in order to promote the deep integration of the new generation of information and communication technology and the construction of new smart cities, governments across the country have successively introduced information infrastructure construction plans, all focusing on the contents of one pole, multiple use, smart light poles and 5G micro base stations.

Although the government has specific targets for the promotion of 5G and has pilot plans in many cities, it is still difficult to apply a large number of them in the short term, mainly including that smart street lights have not yet formed unified standards and regulations; collected information management, ownership management The problem; the source of investment funds and the mode of return; the huge operating expenses that need to be paid each year, etc.

Regarding the lack of uniform standards and specifications for smart street lights, in the past two years, local governments and lighting companies are also actively promoting.

In addition, the "Technical Specifications for the Construction and Operation and Maintenance of Smart Pole Systems" was officially released. This standard will standardize the functions, classification, application scenarios, equipment technology, data sharing, safety requirements, system construction, operation and maintenance and other processes and The links play a guiding role in the process of the promotion of smart poles in smart cities and the upgrading and transformation of communication infrastructure in the 5G era.

The release of the above standards will help promote the implementation of smart pole projects and the standardized development of the industry, and lay a solid foundation for my country's smart city construction and 5G commercial popularization.

I believe everyone has also noticed that the higher the proportion of accounts receivable in revenue for lighting engineering companies in major engineering projects, the greater the business risk of the company. The same is true for LED street lamp renovation projects. Many government-related project funds have problems, leading to a decline in corporate cash flow and leaving the risk of receivables.

In order to improve this phenomenon and increase the enthusiasm of lighting engineering companies, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Administrative Measures for the Timely Payment of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Draft for Comment)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Management Measures") to publicly solicit management opinions.

According to the administrative measures, state agencies, public institutions, and large enterprises that purchase goods, projects, and services from small and medium-sized enterprises shall pay within 30 days; if otherwise agreed in the contract, the maximum payment period shall not exceed 60 days.

It is precisely based on the government's various policy support that smart street lights are gradually appearing on the streets of many cities.

According to observations, a number of smart street lighting projects have been launched in China recently. For example, the road lighting on Qiaoxiang Road in Shenzhen was transformed into smart street lamps; on Foziling Road in Lu'an City, street lamps were replaced with high-pressure sodium lamp electronic ballasts and single-lamp control modules were installed; smart street lamps were installed on the campus of South China University of Technology; and the energy-saving renovation of street lamps in Huaiyuan County Service and smart street light upgrade project won the bid; Xiongan New District installed DC smart street light project, etc.

In general, as batches of smart light poles are put into use in various places in the future, smart cities will present a new scene.
