The reporter learned that the Dimei Village Committee plans to invest 32,000 yuan to install 5 solar street lights in each of the 14 natural villages, a total of 70.

"Of course, some villagers also said that 5 street lights are too few." Ye Lidong smiled and explained that 14 natural villages must install street lights. On September 18, the reporter came to Shangtang Village and Beitang Village of Dimei Village Committee, Baisha Street. Along the village roads, solar street lights are installed on electric poles or on the outer walls of villagers' houses. The location of the street lights has also been considered, either at the entrance of the village or at the corner of the intersection, so that it can better illuminate the way home for the masses.
Aunt Cai, a villager, told the reporter that she used to work in the fields until night and often went home in the dark. When she got home, she still had to open the door in the dark. It was difficult to find the keyhole at night and it was difficult to open the door. Now some of the village roads have been equipped with street lights, which is a great thing for the villagers.
