Taoyuan City takes the lead in fully replacing LED intelligent lighting street lights

Recently, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, announced the plan to replace the traditional street lamps in the area. It is expected to complete the replacement of intelligent street lamps by the end of June 2020. Yiguang will assist Taoyuan City to become the first in Taiwan. A green city that fully adopts LED intelligent lighting equipment.

Chairman of Yiguang Electronics Ye Weifu said that this time, Taoyuan South District will be assisted to replace the 100 million high-efficiency and low-energy intelligent street lamps, which will cover 75,000 miles, across the mountainous areas of Guishan, Taoyuan, Bade, Yangmei, Longtan and Daxi. There are 7 administrative districts in the district and Fuxing District. The electricity saving cost is up to 76 million yuan (NT$), and the effective lighting maintenance rate is increased to 99.7%. It also has the functions of “remote monitoring” and “operation management”.

Therefore, the cost of Taoyuan City is all from the cost of electricity after the replacement of intelligent street lamps and the annual maintenance cost of street lamps. It is possible to build a low-carbon green city without additional budget.
