It is understood that the urban lighting renovation and upgrading project in our city is the key content of the "Municipal Convenience and Benefiting Facility Project" among the top ten practical projects of Fangchenggang Municipal People's Government in 2022. The total investment amount is 85.8 million yuan, and the contract energy management model is adopted. implement. According to the project construction requirements, the project adopts a new type of high-efficiency LED energy-saving light source, and replaces about 16,000 old lamps and lanterns in the main and secondary roads, branch roads, parks, squares and other areas in the urban area. After the completion of the project, it is expected that the urban public lighting LED penetration rate will reach 100%, the overall electricity saving rate will reach more than 47%, and the average annual electricity consumption of street lamps will be saved by more than 5 million kWh.
"At present, we have completed the renovation of 13,000 old lamps. Through energy-saving renovation, the quality of urban road lighting in our city has been qualitatively improved, and the illumination of sections such as Jinhuacha Avenue, Beibuwan Avenue, and Yingbin Street has increased compared with before the renovation. In addition to replacing old street lamps with new light sources, the project also simultaneously promotes the construction of an intelligent monitoring system for urban lighting, which is expected to be put into use by the end of June this year.
