The installation of street lights on National Highway G536 has been completed

"It is much more convenient to travel at night after the installation of street lights. Now it gets dark early and I don't need to use a flashlight when I go out," said Aunt Zhang, a resident near National Highway G536, happily. In order to ensure road traffic safety, Herendu Town, Taojiang County, implemented a rural beautification and lighting project to solve the problem of people's difficulty in traveling at night. Recently, the 9.5-kilometer street light installation project on the Herendu Town section of National Highway G536 in Taojiang County, Yiyang City, Hunan Province was successfully completed, and all 380 city circuit lights were powered on.

It is reported that National Highway G536 runs through Changjiang Village, Shahe Community, and Herendu Community in Herendu Town, Taojiang County. There are mostly residential areas on the sides of the road, many forks, and great traffic hazards. To this end, Heilongdu Town, Taojiang County, adheres to the principle of "problem-oriented, precise policy implementation, and both symptomatic and root cause treatment", focusing on the three elements of traffic safety, "people, vehicles, and roads", and multiple departments jointly, focusing on "three additions and one removal", namely, adding street lights, adding warning signs and speed bumps, adding various traffic safety signs, and removing obstacles, and investing more than 1 million yuan to implement safety upgrades and renovations on 9.5 kilometers of roads along the route, promoting the transformation of traffic safety facilities from "existence" to "goodness". So far, 380 city street lights, more than 90 speed bumps, more than 20 warning signs, and more than 30 obstacles have been installed on this section of the road. The project has benefited more than 8,000 people in the surrounding areas.
