According to data provided by the National Energy Conservation Center, lighting electricity accounts for about 14% of the national electricity consumption, therefore, making energy-efficient lighting is an important measure to achieve green development. This is also the main reason for the government to promote the use of LED lights.

According to Qiang Xu, director of the National Energy Conservation Center, China has basically eliminated incandescent bulbs for general lighting of more than 60 watts, leaving a market share of less than 5%.
