The United States and Canada have implemented a recall of the Chinese-made CFMK H-type luminaire bracket

On August 19, 2020, the US Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada announced the implementation of a recall of Chinese-made lighting fixtures.

The United States and Canada have implemented a recall of the Chinese-made CFMK H-type luminaire bracket

The recalled product is CFMK H-type metal bracket. The product is used to install CPANL LED lights, sold separately or as an accessory for 1x4, 2x4, 2x2 CPANLs.

The product may not be able to install the CPANL LED light securely, which may cause the light to fall and cause personal injury.

The recalled products were sold in the United States and Canada from January 2019 to June 2020. Approximately 318,500 units were sold in the U.S. and approximately 11,600 units were sold in Canada. Sold together with LED lights, the price is 85-100 US dollars; the stand-alone price is about 12 US dollars.

Up to now, we have received 22 reports of stent failures in the United States and 1 report of minor injuries; and 2 reports of stent failures in Canada.

CPSC and Health Canada advise consumers to stop using the product immediately and contact Lithonia Lighting to obtain a repair kit and installation instructions.
