Recently, the US Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Office (OEERE) released G/TBT/N/USA/698/Rev. 1/Add. Circular No. 1, Revised Energy Conservation Program: Final Rule for Integrated Light Emitting Diode (LED) Lamp Test Procedures.

The standard regulations cover the luminous flux output of LED lamps, input power, lamp efficacy, correlated color temperature (CCT), color rendering coefficient (CRI), power factor, lifetime and standby power consumption test procedure requirements, and define "expiration time, allow Amend the LED lamp test procedure to meet the ENERGY STAR program requirements with the failure measures taken at high temperatures. The regulations will take effect on October 22, 2018.

The Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Standardization said that the regulation may have a significant impact on the production or sales of LED lighting products exported to the United States by Zhejiang Province.
