UAE lighting market focuses on energy saving and environmental protection products

In order to promote the development of the environmental protection lighting industry in the Gulf, Saudi Al-Babtain (a professional company in the field of energy and communications) will showcase the most advanced LED lighting technology during the 2013 Middle East Power Show.

LED lighting technology is energy-saving and environment-friendly lighting technology, which can save 70% energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 90%. LED lighting technology can be applied to lighting equipment in main roads, tunnels, bridges and public facilities.

In recent years, UAE residents and urbanization have developed rapidly. In order to control carbon dioxide emissions and save energy, UAE state-owned enterprises have begun to pay attention to the advantages of smart lighting systems and pay attention to environmentally friendly products. Dubai plans to establish a Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid solar power plant, with an installed capacity of up to 1,000 MW in 2030, which will become the world's largest solar power plant when completed. In addition, Dubai installs solar panels on top of the building, and the power output in 2030 can reach 2,500 MW.

The energy consumption of the lighting industry accounts for 15% of the total energy consumption in Dubai, which is about 1500 MW. Therefore, improving energy utilization and diversifying energy sources can ensure the future sustainable development.
