Upgraded efficient LED lighting lanterns in Suzhou

Suzhou starts to upgrade the street lights on May 28, and that year the replacement project for the city palace lantern-type lights is officially launched. It is understood, the replacement project will cover 17 roads and 1142 street.

The lanterns of Shiquan Street is installed to welcome the 2004 World Heritage Convention, with three vertical and three horizontal urban road reconstruction, and its antique style and ancient street lanterns complement each other, which becomes a unique view of the city of Suzhou. The replacement work starts from 2012, fixing and replacing old organic panel. The original energy-saving lamps light is replaced with LED light, sodium lamp electronic ballast is changed to variable power flow, making it both beautiful and energy-saving.

After upgrading to LED light for Shiquan Street lanterns, each lamp can save nearly 70 percent energy on the non-motorized road side, and more than 50% energy on the motor vehicle road side. Considering the street is located in the city area, in order to stagger the traffic pressure, the operation time for the work is adjust to from 22:00 to 5:00.
