Strolling along main roads such as Huanghe Road and Tacheng North Road in Wusu City, the festive spirit is palpable. Red lanterns strung together like beads sway in the wind on the roadside trees; meteor shower-shaped lights adorn the green belts, creating a dazzling spectacle, as if stars have been scattered across the earth. The brilliant lights have attracted many citizens to stop and admire the scene, taking photos to commemorate the occasion.

"The lights in Wusu are especially beautiful this year, particularly along Huanghe Road, where the red lanterns look particularly festive," said Wang Xiuying, a resident of Wusu.

"The lanterns are hung at the entrance of our community, and they look especially beautiful at night, creating a strong festive atmosphere. I hope that in the new year, everyone's life will be as prosperous as these lanterns."

The beautification project not only enhances the city's appearance but also warms the hearts of its residents. Besides the atmosphere-creating project, businesses along the city's main roads and commercial streets have also spontaneously participated, some hanging large red lanterns at their storefronts, others pasting auspicious window decorations and couplets in their shop windows, all contributing to illuminating Wusu's nightscape.

Merchant Lü Cuiyan said, "I specially bought two large lanterns to hang at the entrance, and also pasted couplets and the character 'Fu' (good fortune). Customers who come into the shop all say it's festive, and business is booming. I wish everyone a happy Spring Festival, and I also wish Wusu continued prosperity."

The Wusu City Spring Festival lighting project, using light as a brush and scenery as a scroll, perfectly blends traditional New Year customs with modern light and shadow, creating a beautiful and peaceful city filled with the festive atmosphere. This "Welcoming the New Year with Light and Shadow" urban campaign is not only a vivid testament to Wusu's efforts to improve urban quality and optimize the living environment, but also a concrete practice of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government in fulfilling their original aspirations through hard work and warming the hearts of the people with ingenuity.

Yan Zhaozhi, project manager of Xinjiang Rongxing Shengjing Urban Services Co., Ltd., said, "This year, we adhered to the principles of 'saving, conserving energy, and protecting the environment,' widely adopting LED energy-saving lights and recyclable materials. We focused on upgrading the lighting at key locations such as Huanghe Road, Tacheng North Road, and Jiulianquan Park, creating a festive atmosphere while also practicing green principles. We will increase inspection and maintenance efforts to ensure the continuous and stable operation of the lighting facilities, allowing all citizens to enjoy a bright and warm Spring Festival."

2026 marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the 30th anniversary of Wusu's transformation from a county to a city. On this hopeful land, the people of Wusu are using the city's radiant lights as a backdrop and their vibrant spirit as ink to jointly write a warm, bright, and prosperous new spring.
