Nowadays, many new cars will emphasize that they are equipped with LED light groups in order to show their "luxury".
You know, in the past few years, xenon headlights were equipped on medium and high-end models. However, looking at the models currently on sale, LED headlights are basically used, and xenon headlights are still used. There are only a few models (Beijing BJ80/90, Touran (medium and high), DS9 (low), Kia KX7 (top match), etc.).
However, as the most "original" halogen headlights, it can still be seen on many models. The low-end and low-end models of some brands like Honda and Toyota still use a combination of low-beam halogen + high-beam LED headlights. Why are halogen lamps not replaced by large areas, but the more "powerful" xenon headlights will gradually be replaced by LEDs?
On the one hand, halogen headlights are cheap. You know, halogen lamps evolved from tungsten filament incandescent lamps, and it is a "bulb" to put it bluntly. Moreover, the technology of halogen headlights is now quite mature, and car companies are willing to use them in some models that lower the price. At the same time, the maintenance cost of halogen lamps is lower, and for some users with limited budgets, it still has a market.
