"Yiyang City Urban Lighting Management Measures" released

Recently, the People's Government of Yiyang, Hunan Province, released the "Yiyang City Urban Lighting Management Measures" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures").

It is worth noting that the "Measures" propose that newly built urban functional lighting facilities should be equipped with intelligent multi-functional lamp poles, intensively set up various types of poles, and reserve installation interfaces to achieve multi-pole integration and comprehensive utilization. If traffic instructions, safety monitoring, communication networks, IoT sensing and other equipment are installed on multi-functional lamp poles, they should be implemented after consultation with the urban lighting authorities, and shall not affect the safety and lighting functions of lighting facilities.

In addition, the "Measures" also mentioned that the owners or management units of buildings (constructions) are encouraged to invest in the construction of urban landscape lighting facilities. The municipal and county people's governments can provide electricity subsidies for urban landscape lighting facilities funded by the owners or management units of buildings (constructions). The specific measures shall be formulated by the urban lighting authorities in conjunction with the financial departments and reported to the people's governments at the same level for approval and implementation.
