Yunnan Zhaotong 94,000 yuan solar street lights illuminate rural roads
"In the past, it was dark when we went out at night, and it was inconvenient to walk. Now with these solar street lights, we no longer have to worry about walking at night. Thank you to the party and the government, and thank you to the comrades of the village work team." Recently, with 86 brand-new solar street lights lit up on the main road of Huanglianhe Village, Cuihua Town, Daguan County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, the villagers' night travel problems have been solved, and their joy is beyond words.
The total investment of the solar street light installation project is 94,000 yuan. It is a key livelihood project that the village work team of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the village "two committees" have actively sought financial and resource support after conducting in-depth research on the needs of villagers. The project covers a 7.2-kilometer section from the second water plant in Daguan County to the Haiba centralized resettlement site, benefiting more than 800 people from five villager groups including Miao Village, Caoping, and Haiba.
The village work team and village cadres participated in the project planning, street lamp selection and construction and installation throughout the process, strictly controlled the quality, and ensured the high-standard implementation of the project. The project was launched in mid-January this year. During the construction period, the villagers spontaneously participated in the transportation of street lamp components and assisted in the fixing of lamp poles, and the cadres and the masses worked together to promote the progress of the project.
The 86 street lamps installed this time (including 60 high-pole street lamps and 26 poleless street lamps) are all lithium-ion light-sensitive 5000-watt models, which can intelligently sense light and automatically light up, providing safety for villagers to travel at night. These street lamps not only illuminate the rural roads, but also warm the hearts of the villagers.
The secretary of the general party branch of Huanglianhe Village said that the implementation of the solar street lamp project is a microcosm of the assistance results of the village work team. With continuous assistance, the village's infrastructure has been continuously improved, industrial development has been steadily promoted, rural civilization has been continuously improved, and the pace of rural revitalization has become more solid. In the future, the village's "two committees" and the village work team will continue to focus on people's livelihood needs and create better living conditions for villagers.
