What reliability tests need to be carried out for LED lights

In order to evaluate and analyze the reliability of electronic products, the test is called reliability test. What reliability tests are required for LED lamps?

What reliability tests need to be carried out for LED lights

The purpose of reliability testing and testing usually has several aspects:

1. In the development stage, it is used to expose the defects of various aspects of the trial product and evaluate the reliability of the product to reach the predetermined index;

2. The production stage provides information for monitoring the production process;

3. Reliability appraisal or acceptance of finalized products;

4. Expose and analyze the failure laws and related failure modes and failure mechanisms of products under different environmental and stress conditions;

5. In order to improve product reliability, formulate and improve reliability test plans, and provide a basis for users to select products.

For different products, in order to achieve different purposes, you can choose different reliability test methods.

There are multiple classification methods for reliability tests:

1. If divided by environmental conditions, it can be divided into simulation tests and field tests under various stress conditions;

2. Divided by test items, it can be divided into environmental test, life test, accelerated test and various special tests;

3. If divided according to the test purpose, it can be divided into screening test, identification test and acceptance test;

4. If divided according to the nature of the test, it can also be divided into two categories: destructive test and non-destructive test.

5. But the usual classification method is to summarize it into five categories:

Environmental test, life test, screening test, field use test, qualification test.

Environmental testing is to assess the adaptability of products in various environments (vibration, shock, centrifugation, temperature, thermal shock, hot flashes, salt spray, low air pressure, etc.), and is one of the important test methods for evaluating product reliability.

Life test is a method to study the life characteristics of products. This method can be carried out in the laboratory by simulating various use conditions.

The screening test is a non-destructive test that performs full inspection on the product. Its purpose is to select products with certain characteristics or eliminate early failure products, so as to improve the reliability of the product. During the product manufacturing process, due to material defects or out of control of the process, some products have so-called early defects or failures. If these defects or failures can be eliminated early, the reliability of the product in actual use can be guaranteed.

The characteristics of reliability screening test are:

A. This kind of test is not sampled, but 100% test;

B. This test can improve the overall reliability level of qualified products, but it cannot improve the inherent reliability of the products, that is, it cannot increase the life of each product;

C. The screening effect cannot be evaluated simply by the level of screening and elimination rate. The high elimination rate may be due to serious defects in the design, components, and technology of the product itself, but it may also be that the screening stress intensity is too high. The elimination rate is low. It is possible that the product has few defects. But it may also be caused by the strength of the screening stress and insufficient test time. Usually based on the screening elimination rate Q and the screening effect An Dao Fei Lan Gu Guan "Jiao ǖ Nao Pa Ying Han Xia Miao Na Cuo" Jiao Ω lemon hydrogen value is relatively large, but the Q value is moderate.

The above-mentioned various tests are carried out by simulating field conditions. Due to the limitation of equipment conditions, the simulation test can only apply a single stress to the product, and sometimes double stress can be applied, which is very different from the actual use environmental conditions. As a result, it failed to truthfully and comprehensively expose the quality of the product.

The field use test is different, because it is carried out at the use site, so it can most truly reflect the reliability of the product, and the data obtained is of high value for the reliability prediction, design and guarantee of the product.

For the formulation of reliability test plans, the verification of reliability test methods, and the evaluation of test accuracy, the field use test has a greater effect. Qualification test is a test that is done from time to time to evaluate the reliability level of the product. It is a sampling plan based on sampling theory.
