The flight area navigation lighting project of the Urumqi Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Project was successfully lit

On the evening of November 8, the visual navigation lighting (Section 04) of the flight area of the Xinjiang Urumqi Diwopu International Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Project, undertaken by Sichuan Huaxi Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully lit.

Urumqi Airport is one of the two major gateway hub airports in the country, and its reconstruction and expansion project is a key construction project of the country's "14th Five-Year Plan". The company undertook the Urumqi Airport Reconstruction and Expansion Navigation Lighting Project.

In July 2024, the navigation lighting project entered the full-field construction stage. The original construction period of the project was one year, but due to various factors such as regional climate, and to ensure that the conditions for use are met before the snow season arrives this year, the project construction period was compressed to only four months. The project team needs to complete the laying of more than 500,000 meters of cables, the installation of more than 3,000 sets of navigation lights and facilities, and the installation and commissioning of more than 300 sets of power supply equipment. The huge amount of work and the tight time are still a great challenge even for this experienced project team.

All the staff of the project department devoted themselves to this arduous project. Faced with the pressure of tight schedule and the test of large temperature difference, they never backed down. The project team reversed the schedule, optimized the plan, subdivided the goals, adopted the construction strategy of "precise scheduling and multi-line parallel", united as one, and carried out scientific construction to ensure that every goal was smoothly advanced as planned. So far, the commissioning of the navigation lighting system and the joint commissioning of the power supply and distribution equipment of the whole site have been successfully completed, and all construction tasks before the winter break have been completed.
