Changsha Liuyang City Urban Lighting Facility Renewal
On the evening of May 18, the newly installed street lights illuminated the dancing crowd at the leisure area near the power bureau of Changsha Liuyang Fireworks Square."The new lights are much brighter, and I will never be afraid of making the wrong steps again." said Ms. Zhou, the 68-year-old square dance leader. The old man who has danced in the square for 15 years has repeatedly reported the problem of "dancing in the dark" to the 12345 hotline, and now it has finally been solved.
In early May this year, with the completion of the debugging of the last LED street lamp, the Liuyang City Urban Lighting Facility Renewal and Energy-saving Renovation Project, one of the "Ten Key People's Livelihood Projects in Liuyang City", was officially completed. The project lasted for several months and invested 16.66 million yuan to carry out energy-saving renovation of 8,899 high-energy-consuming street lamps and 3 "electric tiger" transformers, and simultaneously eliminated 5 square lighting blind spots and 213 sets of aging lanterns.
When 8,899 new lamps were lit up one after another in the streets of Liuyang, this upgrade of urban lighting equipment not only solved the problem of night travel that had troubled citizens for many years, but also outlined the warm background of a livable city with the actual effects of "increased brightness, reduced energy consumption, and upgraded appearance".
