Recently, with the joint support of the partner units of the Town-Village Support Working Station in Yuntan Town - Guangdong Provincial Government Service and Data Administration, The Fifth Electronics Research Institute of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Guangdong Ersha Sports Training Center - the lighting project with a total investment of 330,000 yuan has been successfully completed. The transformation of the road to common prosperity is a continuous livelihood relay. In early 2024, the road hardening project with a total investment of about 8 million yuan was completed, of which 1.3 million yuan came from the partner units of the Town-Village Support Working Station, resolving the long-standing travel difficulties plaguing villagers. However, in follow-up visits, the working team found that the lack of nighttime lighting had become a new safety hazard.

“Once roads are accessible, lights must also turn on, so that people can travel safely day and night.” With this consensus, the working team coordinated and promoted the project again, and the lighting initiative was quickly implemented. This relay from “smooth roads” to “safe roads” reflects the sustained effort to deliver practical results and ease people’s worries.

Today, 130 intelligent solar streetlights stand evenly along the roads. Equipped with light-control and time-control systems, they automatically store energy during the day and turn on punctually at night, with no electricity costs for villagers. The former “dark corridors” have become “bright passages”, effectively improving the safety of nighttime travel.

“The streetlights are very bright; it’s much safer to ride or walk in the evening,” said a villager from Helang Village, voicing the shared feeling of everyone. For students returning late, hardworking farmers, and villagers needing to travel at night, these lights are not just illumination, but visible security.
