Aohan Banner, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, Gets a New Look with its Spring Festival Lighting Project
With the Spring Festival fast approaching, the streets and alleys of Aohan Banner in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, are already illuminated with dazzling lights. To create a warm and festive atmosphere, Aohan Banner's meticulously crafted Spring Festival urban lighting project has been fully completed, outlining the city's contours with brand-new lighting landscapes, making the night sky vibrant and overflowing with festive spirit, and infusing the city's warmth-"Beautiful Aohan, Cultural Aohan, Ecological Aohan"-into every household's light.

This Spring Festival lighting project has achieved a comprehensive upgrade in coverage, design ingenuity, and scale of lighting fixtures, illuminating the city's main arteries and key nodes. Areas such as Xinhui Road, Xinzhong Street, both sides of the Yinhe Road river, Xinzhou Street, Central Avenue, Xueyuan Road, and the National Defense Education Square are all adorned in "splendid attire," creating a dazzling Spring Festival scene as far as the eye can see.
This large-scale lighting project has elevated Aohan's nightscape to a new level of beauty. 1,158 trees were adorned with 28,000 string lights, creating a silvery-white spectacle; 38,000 square meters of green hedges, illuminated by 7,500 net lights, resembled a starry river; 85 sets of streetlights spanned the thoroughfares; and 72 traditional lanterns hung high in the streets. 8,660 field-inserted wheat-ear lights, like sparkling fireworks in the fields; 36 sets of colorful balloon lights, full of childlike charm; and 9,800 light-up decorations scattered throughout created a lighting landscape that was both grand in scale and delicately ingenious. Behind this was the tireless work of 486 staff members day and night, and the continuous operation of 58 cranes, who wove this dazzling sea of ??lights with their dedication and sweat.
Unlike previous street lighting projects that primarily focused on functionality, this Aohan Banner Spring Festival lighting project served as a new vehicle for expressing urban culture. The design revolved around three core themes: "Humanistic Aohan," "Ecological Aohan," and "Aohan Welcomes You," allowing light to become the language that tells the story of Aohan. "Humanistic Aohan" incorporates classic elements of traditional lanterns and Chinese knots, evoking the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year; "Ecological Aohan" echoes the region's agricultural characteristics, using wheat-ear lights and greenery illumination to blend rustic charm with beautiful lighting; "Aohan Welcomes You" conveys the city's warmth and friendliness with bright and vibrant colors and open, dynamic designs.
While creating stunning nighttime scenery, this lighting project also adheres to the concept of green and sustainable development, with meticulous project management throughout. All lighting facilities will be professionally dismantled, comprehensively inspected, and properly stored after the holiday, following the principles of "resource conservation, low carbon emissions, and recycling," ensuring they continue to shine brightly next year, achieving a win-win situation of beautiful lighting and environmental protection.
