Peru Lima officially launches the historical center lighting system renovation project

As a general urban renewal plan led by the Peruvian government, the Lima Urban Revitalization Plan aims to restore the cultural heritage of the historical center of Lima, the capital of Peru, improve the livability of the region, and attract foreign investment and tourism. The "Ancient City Rejuvenation" project launched by Peru Boluz Company this time is one of the key projects of the "Ten Thousand Lights Project". It will achieve the modernization and upgrading of public facilities while maintaining the historical style of the ancient city, and simultaneously upgrade and optimize the public lighting power grid in the region.

The project will be completed in two phases. The first phase covers the six core squares of Lima, the capital of Peru, and 75 surrounding blocks, and a total of 800 sets of customized lamp groups integrating retro cast iron decorative lamp poles and intelligent LED lighting systems will be installed. It is expected that after the completion of the first phase of the renovation, the nighttime illumination of the area will increase by 40% and the energy consumption will decrease by 35%. It is expected that the nighttime passenger flow in the area will increase by 22% month-on-month, and more than 35% of the merchants will extend their business hours.

Lima Mayor Rafael Aliaga said that the project is part of the overall plan for the revitalization of Lima's historical center, aiming to improve urban infrastructure, solve the safety hazards caused by the aging of the original facilities, and further strengthen the cultural and tourism functions of the historical district.

Walter Huetto, general manager of Peru Boluz Company, said that Peru Boluz Company not only undertakes the installation of lamp poles and lighting equipment, but will also simultaneously upgrade and optimize the public lighting power grid in the area to ensure stable power supply for the new facilities. He emphasized that the construction team will strictly follow the construction plan and promote the renovation work without affecting the normal operation of the existing lighting system.
