The nighttime lighting upgrade of Guangci Lake in Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province

To improve the urban lighting environment and optimize the nighttime leisure experience for citizens, Jianshui County in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, actively responded to public demands and implemented a lighting upgrade for Guangci Lake in January of this year. The upgrade is now largely complete, making the lake area brighter and more inviting at night.

As night falls, strolling along the shores of Guangci Lake, soft streetlights illuminate the paths, courtyard lights adorn the woods, bird's nest lights outline the trees, and LED strips and step lights make the steps and paths clearer and safer. Many citizens are walking and singing by the lake, enjoying a pleasant nightlife.

Previously, some citizens complained that the ground spotlights along the lake were glaring, affecting their walking experience. This upgrade addressed this issue by replacing the glaring ground spotlights with more comprehensive lighting facilities, not only solving the glare problem but also improving the overall lighting effect. Citizen Zhu Yabo said that the lights are no longer glaring after the upgrade, making walking much more comfortable. Citizen Zhang Qiongxian praised the project, saying that the lake area is now brightly lit and provides a pleasant environment for singing and leisure.

It is understood that the renovation project installed 67 streetlights, 35 courtyard lights, 100 bird's nest lights, 280 meters of light strips, and 137 meters of step lights. Currently, the renovation work is basically complete, with only some final adjustments remaining. The nights at Guangci Lake have become more beautiful and pleasant, providing a safe and comfortable space for nighttime activities for surrounding residents, and further enhancing the urban quality and livability of Jianshui County.
