Recently, the Shenzhen Headquarters Building of Dajia Property & Casualty Insurance-a highly anticipated new landmark in Shenzhen-lit up the night sky, signaling that this skyscraper, nicknamed “Water Barrel Waist,” is nearing completion and will soon grace the Shenzhen Bay skyline.

On June 5, the project manager of the Dajia Property & Casualty Insurance Headquarters Building revealed that the recent illumination was part of the building-wide lighting system调试 (debugging). Next, a joint inspection of the project is scheduled for the end of June. Upon successful completion, the building is expected to be handed over to the owner by the end of the year.
Located in the Houhai Financial Business Headquarters Base, the Shenzhen Dajia Property & Casualty Insurance Headquarters Building is adjacent to Shenzhen Bay Port and Houhai Station (serving Metro Lines 11 and 13). With a total construction area of 217,000 square meters, the complex consists of a 57-story main tower standing 273 meters tall and two annex buildings. It is designed as an international shared headquarters office space.
The building’s fa?ade features a high-performance glass curtain wall system spanning 81,200 square meters. Combining double-glazed Low-E glass with sunshade blinds, the system ensures optimal natural lighting while significantly reducing energy consumption.
The curtain wall’s concave textures and vertical lines create a sculptural geometric form. These elements produce dynamic light and shadow effects during the day, while the integrated LED lighting system outlines the building’s sleek silhouette at night, making it a distinctive feature of the Shenzhen Bay skyline.
