In recent years, the problem of “little glasses” has become increasingly prominent, and the phenomenon of myopia among students has gradually become younger and more common. The Jiayuguan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have taken the health of children seriously, and included the improvement and renovation of the lighting environment of primary and secondary school classrooms in the 2024 practical projects for the people, and made every effort to promote the full coverage of the “Bright Eye Project” in primary and secondary schools, comprehensively optimize the school’s eye and optometry environment, and help the healthy growth of children and adolescents in our city.
Carry out preliminary investigations and build a “database”. A comprehensive investigation was conducted on 892 ordinary classrooms in primary and secondary schools across the city, and all 532 classrooms that had not yet completed the eye protection lamp renovation were included in the renovation scope. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the differences in classroom structure and area, the three renovation plans of “9+2”, “9+3” and “12+2” were finally determined. Different renovation plans were adopted for different classrooms, and efforts were made to optimize the optometry environment of each classroom.
Strictly follow the work process and keep a good “quality control”. As the project implementation unit, the Municipal Education Bureau set up a special project team. The heads of the 17 schools involved in the project participated in the whole process, and the relevant parameters were repeatedly checked and carefully demonstrated. Before the construction, a meeting between schools and merchants was organized to put forward specific requirements for the implementation of the project; during the construction, a third party was invited to conduct illumination testing in the model room, and quality sampling was organized after the construction to ensure the quality of the project.
Keep a close eye on the time nodes and grasp the “progress bar”. Determine the work system in which the leaders in charge of the bureau and relevant departments are in charge, the leaders in charge participate in the whole process, and the project schools are responsible for their own responsibilities, and strive to promote the implementation of the project. Make a schedule, reverse the construction period, reconcile and close the accounts, and the relevant responsible leaders go deep into the site to understand the progress in a timely manner, coordinate and solve specific problems, and ensure that the project is steadily advanced according to the planned time nodes.
After the autumn semester started, 532 classrooms in various schools successfully completed the lighting environment improvement and transformation. The original fluorescent lamps were all replaced with LED microcrystalline panel lamps, and the classroom illumination and uniformity met national standards. Sitting in the bright classroom, the students truly felt the care of the municipal party committee and government. The soft light was like a barrier, protecting the children’s eyesight health.
