160 solar street lights light up in Lazhai Village, Dawan Town, Zhongshan District, Liupanshui, Guizhou

As night falls, 160 brand-new and bright solar street lights automatically light up on both sides of the road for households in Lazhai Village, Dawan Town, Zhongshan District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province. The lights cover the roads of each group and illuminate the road, leading the villagers on their way home.

It is understood that during the home visits, the Lazhai Village resident working team learned that the main road of the fourth group in Lazhai Village did not have street lights installed, causing a lot of inconvenience and safety hazards to people traveling at night. Zhang Zhenyu, the first secretary of Lazhai Village, applied for a fund of 196,800 yuan from Guizhou Railway Investment Group, the stationed unit, and launched a rural lighting project in December 2023. In the village work team, the village branch's "two committees", and the engineering team , and with the close cooperation of the villagers, 160 new solar street lights covering 8 village groups in the village were officially put into use.

"Most of the people in our village moved from Guanmenshan Reservoir last year, and the lighting facilities are not perfect. After the street lights are installed, it is much more convenient to go home at night. Now the roads in the village are all bright, and it has become more lively than before, you no longer need a flashlight wherever you go at night." said Kong Weili, a villager from the fourth group of Lazhai Village.
