230 street lamps illuminate villagers in Beigu Village, Xinzhou Town, Yangdong District, Yangjiang, Guangdong
"Now that street lights are installed on the roads in and out of the village and the lanes in the village, it is much more convenient for us to go out at night, and the front of our house is particularly bright." On February 21, Na Jian, Beigu Village, Xinzhou Town, Yangdong District, Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province Lin Gui, a 75-year-old veteran party member of Natural Village, praised the changes at his doorstep.
Najian Natural Village, Beigu Village, Xinzhou Town, has not installed street lights for many years. The roads are dark every night, making it inconvenient for residents to travel and posing safety risks. "Because there are no street lights in the village and there is insufficient road lighting at night, people can only use flashlights or car lights for lighting when traveling. Safety accidents are prone to occur when traveling." Feng Fangqiang, secretary of the Party branch of Beigu Village, said that due to the weak collective economy of the village, street lights were not installed for the convenience of the people. Traveling has become a "heart problem" for village cadres.
In order to solve the problem of villagers traveling at night, Xie Qiming, a police officer from the Zhuhai Compulsory Isolation and Detoxification Center, went to the village to serve as the first secretary in the village. He visited the site to conduct inspections and actively reported the actual difficulties in Beigu Village to the Party Committee of the Zhuhai Compulsory Isolation and Detoxification Center.
To this end, the affiliated party committee decided to donate more than 50,000 yuan of self-raised funds to Beigu Village, and installed 230 solar LED street lights on the roads and lanes in the village of 14 natural villages under its jurisdiction, illuminating nearly 5 kilometers of distance, effectively solving the problem of villagers traveling at night and won unanimous praise from the masses.
