66 Solar Orchid-Style Streetlights Installed in Zhenzhu Village, Wengyuan County, Shaoguan, Guangdong

Reporters learned from recent interviews that the road streetlight project in Zhenzhu Village, Bazai Town, Wengyuan County, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province has been completed and put into operation. More than 2,000 meters of road stretching from the Bazai Toll Station on Wuhan-Shenzhen Expressway to National Highway G220 is fully illuminated, completely resolving the trouble of traveling in darkness for nearby villagers at night.

In Zhenzhu Village of Bazai Town, rows of brand-new orchid-style streetlights stand neatly, extending from the Bazai Toll Station of Wuhan-Shenzhen Expressway to the junction of Provincial Highway S245 and National Highway G220, safeguarding villagers’ safe travel.

It is reported that there used to be no lighting along this road section. Connecting downtown Bazai and the expressway entrance and exit, the road saw heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, which brought prominent safety hazards and frequent traffic accidents. This long-standing problem affecting people’s livelihoods had worried surrounding villagers for a long time.

At present, all streetlights of this project operate steadily. The nighttime travel conditions on the road from the Bazai Toll Station of Wuhan-Shenzhen Expressway to National Highway G2020 have been thoroughly improved. The incidence of traffic accidents is effectively reduced, bringing great convenience to villagers’ nighttime commutes. These bright streetlights light up the rural night sky and warm residents’ hearts, laying a solid livelihood foundation for rural revitalization.

Going forward, Bazai Town will continue to focus on residents’ livelihood demands, further improve village infrastructure, conduct routine maintenance and management of streetlights, and steadily enhance people’s sense of gain, happiness and security through practical livelihood initiatives.
