Acuity Brands Introduces Professional-Grade Horticultural LED Lighting Solutions

This marks the company's official entry into the LED horticultural lighting market. It is reported that Ultra Yield Solutions has become its first distributor of this product. The release of this product line is expected to further enrich Acuity's product structure and bring new growth points for the company.

According to reports, the Verjure Pro series LED lamps are professional-grade products developed based on plant-related academic research, covering the full spectrum range and designed to support all stages of plant growth (from vegetables to flowers). According to reports, the series is available in three different sizes and light outputs to maintain product versatility in diverse growing environments (indoor warehouses, greenhouses and vertical farms). Among them, 332W corresponds to PPF 900+umol/s, and 695W corresponds to PPF 1850+umol/s.

The Verjure Pro series provides ultra-high output up to 1880 umol/s, and the photosynthetic photon energy efficiency PPE can reach 2.8 umol/j. Its light output meets and exceeds the output of traditional 1000W HPS grow lights, while the energy saving rate is as high as 40%, and the working life can reach 50,000 hours. Not only does this product help to significantly reduce energy consumption and operating costs, it also improves overall sustainability.

"The Verjure Pro series was developed using academic-based plant research to determine how to design LED garden lights for optimal spectral distribution and fixture performance, and to promote healthy, healthy plant growth," said Jacob Palombo, Director of Product Marketing, Lighting and Controls, Acuity Brands "Compared to some common horticultural LED lighting fixtures on the market, the Verjure full-range spectrum contains higher red photon gain - an average of up to 27% more flower yield per dollar of electricity than high pressure sodium lamps. "

Easy installation, responsive control

Verjure Pro Series LEDs feature a tool-free, foldable design for easy handling, transport and installation, and offer three simple mounting options: hanging, rack-mounting, or pipe/pillar. A unique rotatable external module feature ensures high brightness uniformity on the top cover; removable lenses are easy to clean and maintain full light output. Taking into account the environmental conditions of agriculture itself, the Verjure Pro series LED lamps are designed with an IP66 waterproof level and have a strong 6kV surge protection.

Additionally, Verjure Pro Series LED fixtures can be easily controlled via wireless nLight AIR controls, allowing users to easily turn the fixture on and off, dim brightness and adjust light output levels. With wireless control, luminaires can be grouped to respond to consistent commands and/or divided into separate control zones for independent light output levels and dimming functions. The companion Clarity mobile app provides simple startup, configuration and modification options.

"Acuity Brands has paved the way for advanced LED lighting technology in actuation, optics, electromechanical design and control," said Tony Gineris, vice president and general manager, Lighting and Controls, Acuity Brands. Now, we're bringing the same quality, reliability, and rich performance into the field of horticultural lighting.”
