According to ams Osram, each crop has an ideal light formula, which includes the required wavelength, light intensity, average lighting time and other "components". In addition to increasing production and generating income, both greenhouse cultivation and indoor cultivation pursue maximum energy saving and power saving. The Osconiq S 5050 solves the problem of insufficient energy efficiency of commonly used white LEDs, bringing lighting technology with lower energy costs and higher energy efficiency to horticultural lighting.

At present, indoor plant lighting mainly uses a combination of red and blue LEDs, or a combination of red and white LEDs. In fact, standard white LEDs used in horticultural lighting also emit light in the red wavelength range, however, compared to LEDs that emit red light directly, standard white LEDs emit about the same flux of red light and consume significantly more energy. many. Therefore, the red light required in horticultural lighting is often replaced by LEDs that emit red light directly in the lighting system.

Thomas Grebner, Marketing Manager at ams Osram, said: "The company's new Osconiq S 5050 improves system efficiency in the red and white spectrum by reducing the amount of phosphor used to convert red light, so growers can save significant energy costs. Specifically, the Osconiq S 5050 utilizes special phosphors to reduce the red part of the spectrum, resulting in more "pure" white light in white LEDs.

According to reports, the Osconiq S 5050 is only 5.0 mm x 5.0 mm x 0.7 mm, and its small size allows manufacturers to achieve compact horticultural lighting product designs. Although small, this LED product has medium power with an efficiency of up to 2.86 kol/J and a light output of 630 mW. In addition, the product can be applied in the current range of 180~1050 mA according to the target requirements and can withstand overvoltages up to 8 kV.

According to ams Osram, the plant lighting technology provided by the company can help people to grow crops without geographical restrictions, which not only saves space, does not need to use pesticides, but also allows urban consumers to easily and conveniently obtain fresh and healthy agricultural products.
