Australia and New Zealand implement safety compulsory certification on LED bulbs and night light

Australia, New Zealand Bureau of Standards released AS / NZS 4417.2: 2012 fourth edition of the electrical and electronic product conformity marking standards revised standard A4: 2017. This revision expands the list of managed products, redraws the security level for some products, and updates the definition of some products.

Standard requirements, from June 1, 2018 onwards, into the Australian market, such as LED bulbs and night light products must apply for a mandatory safety certificate (SAA certification). According to reports, SAA Australia International Standards Inc. is the only standard certification body in Australia.
