Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest/Olympic Stadium) transforms LED lamps to replace traditional lamps
On October 28, as the final work of the Beijing Winter Olympics project, the National Stadium "Bird's Nest" renovation project, which was responsible for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics, was completed. At this point, the venues and supporting infrastructure for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and Yanqing have been fully completed.
Focusing on the requirements of “simplicity, safety and splendor”, the renovation of the National Stadium and venues follows the concept of “Frugal Olympics”, highlighting the characteristics of green, wisdom and humanity, mainly for barrier-free facility systems, landscape lighting systems, audience service facilities systems and A total of 37 sub-items in four areas, including other facilities, equipment and systems, were upgraded to meet the needs of the Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies and the sustainable development of the venues.
Humanistic care is reflected everywhere in this transformation. The Bird's Nest added a barrier-free ramp on the northeast side of the perimeter base of the stadium; updated 18 barrier-free elevators in the entire venue, increased the stainless steel mirror and handrail operation panel of the car; and added children's toilet washers in the existing 101 barrier-free toilets in the stadium. Children's step stools, height-adjustable multifunctional storage tables, etc., create a safe, smooth, applicable and humanized barrier-free environment.
The renovation of audience service facilities makes the performance more warm. The Bird's Nest has installed electronic screens of different sizes in the audience area, and 90 small and medium electronic screens surround the stand area, presenting a clearer viewing effect. In addition, the Bird's Nest has added 128 warm water direct drinking fountains in the grandstand distribution area, which has the ability to supply outdoor warm water in winter; the bathroom sink in the audience area can also provide hot water service, allowing the audience to truly experience the temperature of the bird's nest.
Energy-saving and low-carbon is the new label of the Bird's Nest. The National Stadium transformed the landscape lighting system. On the basis of making full use of the original equipment and pipelines, the original traditional attenuated light source was replaced with high-standard LED lamps. The brightness of the roof PTFE membrane, the facade steel frame, and the red wall of the stand The uniformity, glare point and exposure point have been improved. After the transformation, it can be controlled by operating mode to achieve 30% energy saving effect; at the same time, color-changing floodlights can be used to present more diversified lighting effects according to different time periods, creating a landmark city night view business card. The air-conditioning system transformation adopts advanced intelligent cloud multi-connected air-conditioning to achieve high efficiency and energy saving.
At the same time, in order to enhance the reliability of the stadium operation, the Bird's Nest has further upgraded other facilities and equipment. For example, all sound reinforcement systems in venues and auditoriums have been upgraded, using a total of 244 latest linear array technology speakers, new constant-voltage speakers, digital power amplifiers and other equipment. It is reported that these devices are domestic products with independent intellectual property rights, achieving a maximum sound pressure level of 10dB higher than the national standard, and sound transmission gain and speech intelligibility meeting the requirements of national performance-level venues. Complete the replacement of stadium thermal station equipment and radiators, and improve the operational stability of the stadium thermal system.
