Canada's recall of Hong Kong-made LED light groups in China

Recently, Health Canada announced the recall of the LED lamp unit produced by Apex Chance Limited TST East in Hong Kong, China.

The recalled product is an Apex Premium LED light unit powered by a non-rechargeable standard AA battery.

When the lamp is turned on, the battery case of the product may melt, posing a fire and burn hazard. The recalled products were sold in Canada from May 20 to June 2018 and sold about 122 pieces. As of June 25, 2018, two reports of accidents caused by the use of this product in Canada have been received, and no casualties have been reported.

Health Canada recommends that consumers discontinue use of the product immediately and contact London Drugs Limited for a full refund.
