Energy-Saving Lighting in Jinqiao Subdistrict, Dongli District, Tianjin
To continuously optimize the business environment, enhance the living environment, promote green and low-carbon urban development, reduce municipal operation and maintenance costs, and address the shortcomings in nighttime lighting in industrial parks and key road sections, Jinqiao Subdistrict in Dongli District, Tianjin, focused on the pain points of aging lighting facilities on main roads and in industrial parks. It comprehensively implemented a street light upgrade and blind spot repair project, iterating and upgrading traditional municipal streetlights to energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and intelligently controllable solar streetlights. This refined municipal management safeguards the safety of residents' travel and empowers the high-quality development of the area.

Previously, the existing aging streetlights in the area had high energy consumption, aging wiring, and frequent malfunctions, resulting in wasted electricity, high municipal operation and maintenance costs, and safety hazards such as insufficient nighttime lighting and poor visibility, affecting the safety of residents and employees of companies in the industrial park at night. The newly deployed solar-powered intelligent streetlights, relying on photovoltaic energy storage technology and equipped with an intelligent light control system, can automatically turn on and off according to changes in light intensity, achieving self-sufficiency in clean energy. They possess outstanding advantages such as green energy saving, simple operation and maintenance, and high durability. This renovation project covers key sections of Central Avenue, Wanming Road, and Jinqiao Industrial Park, implementing precise and categorized quality improvements: 50 old streetlights on Central Avenue and Wanming Road were completely replaced, and 75 old streetlights in the industrial park underwent intelligent upgrades. Simultaneously, based on the current road network conditions and the commuting needs of businesses, areas with weak lighting were accurately identified, and 20 new streetlights were added, completely resolving issues such as uneven lighting distribution and dim nighttime illumination in some sections of the park.
This streetlight renovation effectively improved nighttime traffic conditions in the area, safeguarding the safety of residents and business employees, and simultaneously achieving multiple benefits including improved public services, energy conservation and cost reduction, and enhanced municipal maintenance efficiency. Moving forward, Jinqiao Subdistrict will continue to deepen its refined urban management, focusing on public concerns and business needs, continuously improving municipal infrastructure, and orderly promoting green and low-carbon transformation projects. Through concrete measures to improve people's lives, the subdistrict will simultaneously enhance the quality of the living and business environment, continuously increasing the sense of gain, happiness, and security for residents and businesses in the area.
