Streetlights on Baishi Back Street in Xiangtan, Hunan Province, Undergo Upgrade and Renovation
To further enhance the city's nighttime landscape, polish the city's cultural tourism image, and strengthen public lighting guarantees, the Lighting Management Office of the Xiangtan Municipal Urban Management and Law Enforcement Bureau in Hunan Province has efficiently promoted the upgrading and renovation of urban streetlights. Currently, all 33 self-bending LED streetlights on Baishi Back Street and 16 on Huanghuatang Road have been installed, tested, and are officially lit. This refined lighting renovation has comprehensively improved the overall quality of the area's nighttime scenery, adding luster to the 6th Hunan Tourism Development Conference.

It is understood that Baishi Back Street is adjacent to the core cultural tourism area of ??Baishi Park, serving as a key passage connecting the park's landscapes and an important street for ensuring residents' nighttime passage. Previously, the existing streetlights on this section suffered from insufficient light intensity, old and damaged appearance, and high energy consumption, failing to meet the dual needs of nighttime viewing during the Tourism Development Conference and leisure strolls for the public.
To minimize the impact of construction on residents' lives and accelerate project progress, the Xiangtan Municipal Lighting Management Office optimized its construction plan, adopting staggered construction hours and a round-the-clock work mode to systematically advance the entire process, including the removal of old light fixtures, wiring upgrades, and the installation and commissioning of new streetlights. During construction, a safety hazard inspection of lighting facilities was conducted simultaneously, focusing on addressing risks such as aging wiring and damaged equipment, effectively strengthening the city's lighting safety defenses and ensuring the safe, stable, and long-term operation of streetlights during the Tourism Development Conference.
After the streetlight upgrade, the overall nighttime appearance of Baishi Back Street has been completely transformed. The soft, even lighting outlines an elegant nighttime scene, seamlessly integrating with the lighting landscape of Baishi Park and smoothly connecting nighttime tourist routes for park visits, leisurely strolls, and distinctive dining experiences.
