This connecting road is an essential route for villagers’ daily travel and farm work. The lack of streetlights has long been a major concern for local residents. After the new village leadership team took office, they conducted in-depth on-site investigations, widely solicited public opinions, and promptly launched the road lighting project. A total of 10 solar streetlights were installed along both sides of the road, achieving full-range lighting coverage across the entire section.

Now, the lights brighten the rural road, facilitating villagers’ commutes and farming activities. The project not only improves the rural living environment but also warms people’s hearts, effectively enhancing villagers’ sense of gain, happiness and security.

Chai Junwei, Secretary of the General Party Branch and Director of the Village Committee of Shangtushan Village, stated:“Taking on the responsibility for the development of Shangtushan Village once again, I am fully aware that this position represents the trust of the organization and, more importantly, the expectations of all villagers. This connecting road is vital for daily travel and farming. Residents have long been troubled by the lack of night lighting, and solving this issue has been my top priority since taking office.

No matter how small, people’s livelihood matters. Though streetlights are simple facilities, they are closely related to travel safety. Delivering such practical livelihood projects well is the best response to villagers’ expectations. Our village has a weak foundation and limited resources, yet as long as we keep villagers’ needs in mind and take solid, down-to-earth actions, no difficulty is unsolvable.

This lighting project is just a starting point. Going forward, together with the village team, I will focus on the most urgent concerns of residents, implement practical measures item by item, improve rural infrastructure, and carefully plan for long-term development, so as to help villagers live a more secure and happier life.”
