128 Streetlights Completed LED Renovation on a Section of Jianshe Road, Shahe City, Xingtai, Hebei
Recently, residents in Shahe City, Xingtai, Hebei Province, have noticed that the streetlights along Jianshe Road are significantly brighter than before, bringing greater safety for nighttime travel.

The original 128 streetlights on the Jianshe Road section (Taihang Street - Renmin Street) were high-energy-consumption high-pressure sodium lamps. After years of service, they suffered from aging fixtures, insufficient brightness and poor lighting effects, failing to meet current road lighting demands. To solve this problem, the Urban Lighting Maintenance Center of Shahe Urban Management Bureau upgraded and replaced all streetlights in this section, retrofitting the traditional sodium lamps with high-efficiency and energy-saving LED streetlights.
After the renovation, the road features higher illuminance, more uniform light distribution and longer service life of lighting facilities. The project greatly improves the comfort of nighttime commuting and effectively cuts energy consumption. Waste lamps are recycled and disposed of properly, achieving multiple benefits including energy conservation, efficiency improvement and environmental protection. As of February 2026, the lighting upgrading project for the Jianshe Road section (Taihang Street - Renmin Street) has been fully completed.
Going forward, Shahe Urban Management Bureau will continue to promote the optimization of urban street lighting. It plans to renovate a total of 70 streetlights on Juying Road and in the railway station area. By deploying standardized, energy-saving and intelligent lighting facilities, the city will further polish its nightscape, guarantee safe travel for residents and enhance the overall urban quality.
