Jingzhou downtown area night lighting will add new scenery

This year, the night scene lighting in the downtown area of Jingzhou, Hubei will add new scenery. According to the arrangement, the first phase will be designed from Binjiang, the ancient city and the high-speed railway, and strive to create a night view of the ancient city at night.

In November 2018, according to the arrangement of the Jingzhou Municipal Government's urban investment construction project, the tendering work for the preparation of night lighting planning was completed through public bidding.

The overall planning scope of night lighting includes Jingzhou “one city and three districts”, namely, the central city, Jingzhou High-tech Zone, Jingzhou Development Zone, and Jinan Cultural Tourism Zone, within the planning range of 480 square kilometers.

The design scope includes natural landscapes and cultural landscapes such as urban buildings, structures, urban roads, plazas, parks, water systems, and ancient city wall building protection areas. The main urban trunk roads include Fuxing Avenue, Jingsha Avenue, Jiangjin Road, Beijing Road, Yanjiang Avenue, Garden Road, Hongmen Road, etc. The park water body mainly includes Binjiang Park, Zhongshan Park, Wenhu Park, Sanguo Park, Mohe River, etc. The main squares include the railway station square, Jinfeng Square, and Sanonda Plaza. The tourist attractions and cultural relics protection mainly include the 5A scenic spot of the ancient city ring, the Zhanghua Temple, etc. The important nodes of the city include the expressway entrance, the railway station, the library, and the Olympics. Body center, gymnasium, and main and secondary road intersection buildings.

It is understood that the night lighting work in the downtown area of Jingzhou started in early 2007. At the end of 2009, 168 buildings along the main trunk roads in the city began to implement lighting renovation (excluding commercial stores), and the building lighting rate reached 37%. At the end of 2010, the municipal government referred to the experience of other cities and handed over the night lighting work to the urban management department for unified management. After the construction of the nightscape lighting demonstration project of Zhongshan Park, Wenhu Park and the ancient city landscape belt, from 2011 to 2014, the night lighting work of important nodes such as the ancient city landscape belt was launched.
