As an important part of urban lighting, large-scale landscape street lights not only carry the important task of meeting night lighting needs, but are also an important carrier of showing the city's image and cultural connotation. According to the relevant person in charge of the Jinjiang Municipal Urban Management Bureau, compared with the original LED bulbs, the upgraded new version of the light source has the advantages of high stability, low failure rate, energy saving and environmental protection, and long service life, which can significantly improve the quality of urban lighting. and effect. At the same time, this light source also has the characteristics of high safety performance and low maintenance cost, and will provide reliable quality assurance for urban lighting.
It is reported that the large-scale landscape street lighting source renovation will be carried out in phases. The first phase of the upgrade project started in mid-October 2023. The landscape streetlight sources on the Century Avenue (Jinguang Road-Oasis Park) section were completely replaced. It was successfully completed by the end of December 2023, with a total of 7,248 light sources replaced. So far, the light source integrity rate has reached 99.9%, effectively reducing maintenance costs. The second phase of the upgrade and renovation project was launched in March this year and is expected to be completed by the end of July. It involves the southern extension of Century Avenue (Jinguang Road-Qiaoshan Road) and the Central Landscape Avenue of Binjiang Business District. As of the end of May, 1,803 light sources have been replaced.
Next, as the project progresses, Jinjiang City's urban lighting will be gradually upgraded to bring a better travel experience to citizens and tourists.
