For example, a new factory installs a batch of LED lamps. During the debugging stage, it is found that the LED lamps flicker, which seriously affects the lighting quality. The on-site power quality analysis of the power grid shows that the 3/5/11th harmonic content is high, up to 3%. It is not yet determined that the high content of power grid harmonics is the direct cause of the instability of LED lighting.

LED manufacturers use PWR2000W high-performance programmable AC power supplies to synthesize harmonics, simulating harmonic AC power in new factories. The 3/5/11th harmonic content is adjusted by a high-performance programmable AC power supply to verify the influence of harmonics on the light quality of LED lamps. The test shows that the 3/5/11th harmonic content is less than 0.5%, and the LED lighting is normal, that is, the high harmonics cause the LED lighting to be unstable. With reference to the voltage harmonic requirements of the European standard EN50160: 2010 version of "Voltage Characteristics of Public Power Supply Systems" (as shown in Figure 1), more stringent grid harmonic immunity verification is carried out for LED lamps.
