In addition, the Environmental Protection Bureau also guided the Carrefour Chongqing store to register the EPA exchange project this year. The two energy-saving and carbon-reduction projects have achieved a total of 4,028 metric tons of carbon emission reduction in 10 years, and the North City Government can obtain 50% of the carbon rights.

The Environmental Protection Bureau stated that the carbon rights obtained by the North City Government will be used to offset the carbon emissions of international conferences and activities in the future, or to be used in the environmental impact assessment of the municipal development cases to achieve carbon neutrality; the 101 Building has become a micro-miniature for the residential and commercial sector. In exchange for the first case, the carbon rights obtained can be used to hold New Year's Eve fireworks.

The Environmental Protection Bureau pointed out that about 70% of Taipei's greenhouse gas emissions come from indirect emissions caused by electricity use, and the carbon emissions of the residential and commercial sectors account for about 74% of the city's total emissions. Therefore, by replacing old equipment, the energy efficiency of construction equipment and the and other power-saving measures have become one of the keys to carbon reduction.

According to statistics, the Taipei City Government assisted Taipei 101 in replacing the lighting equipment in the underground parking lot of the commercial office building last year, and upgraded 2,841 T5 fluorescent lighting fixtures to high-efficiency LED lighting fixtures. It can reduce 2,718 metric tons of carbon, and each party will get 50% of the carbon right.

This year, the Environmental Protection Bureau also guided and assisted the Carrefour Chongqing store to complete the application for the Environmental Protection Agency's "Micro-scale Offset Project". By taking stock of the efficiency of the store's air-conditioning equipment, the Environmental Protection Bureau took the initiative to propose a plan to "replacing and updating the high-efficiency maglev ice water host", which saves an average of 34.3% of electricity per year. Wankwh's electricity usage has also been reviewed and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency, becoming the first case in the country where a large-scale retail industry has completed the registration of a micro-exchange project. In the next 10 years, a total of 1,310 metric tons of carbon can be reduced, and the North City can also obtain 50% of the carbon right.
