LED lighting industry wants to break the status
From a technical point of view, the current mainstream LED technology uses blue light to excite phosphors, and there is a risk of excessive blue light that affects eyesight. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Fengyi Changjiang, deputy school of Nanchang University, developed the "silicon-based yellow LED" and found a breakthrough in pure color LED technology. Last year, existing lighting companies reached a comprehensive strategic cooperation on jointly promoting the industrialization of "silicon-based yellow LED" technology.
"The breakthrough in high-efficiency yellow and green LED technology has opened up a new direction for multi-color pure LED lighting." Wang Guangxu, deputy director of the National Silicon-based LED Engineering Technology Research Center, commented that phosphor LEDs have low cost, mature industry and rich wealth. The risk of blue light, light effect and color temperature are difficult to balance, and the light effect potential is low; pure LED without phosphor is in the early stage of technology, the industry is in urgent need of supporting, and the cost is high, but it can take into account light efficiency and color temperature, blue light is controllable, and healthy Lighting, lighting on demand.
In terms of industry applications, the fluorescent white LED technology and industry have matured in 2020 and reached a plateau. It is estimated that in 2040, the phosphor-free LED lighting technology and industry will enter a stable period. Only through high-efficiency green light and yellow light can LED lighting without phosphors be realized. This means that semiconductor lighting still has a lot of room for improvement, and multi-primary color pure LED lighting will have higher efficiency.
In addition to technological breakthroughs, ecological cooperation in the lighting industry is also emerging.
