LED street Lighting Project Illuminates Altay, Xinjiang
As a vital element of urban development, lighting projects serve not only as a "mirror" reflecting the city's charm but also as "heartwarming lights" enhancing livability. In recent years, while advancing road construction, greening, and beautification initiatives, Altay City in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has used lighting projects to paint a breathtaking "starlit cityscape" across its night sky.

A Night Market Alive with Light and Energy
On the evening of June 3, Altay’s Blue Bay Night Market transformed into a vibrant "city that never sleeps." Warm yellow lanterns adorned the columns, while flexible light strips above the stalls cascaded like "falling stars." The sizzle of skewers and the laughter of diners mingled under this luminous canopy, with many visitors capturing the "glow of human warmth" on their phones.
Urban Glow-Up: Beyond the Night Market
The city’s architectural lighting has also undergone a stunning upgrade. Along Jinshan Road, over 20 key locations now feature:
Contour lights and floodlights that highlight the rhythmic architecture.
Window light strips outlining shopfronts in brilliant hues.
Riverside light matrices shimmering in harmony with the water’s reflections.
Zhang Jili, Party Committee Secretary of Badaoxiang Community, shared:
"We prioritize soft, warm lighting to ensure residents’ nighttime comfort. Some fixtures integrate solar control systems, automatically adjusting brightness for aesthetic and functional balance. Collaborating with local businesses, we’ve also enhanced facades to make public spaces more vibrant."
A City Illuminated by Design
Today, Altay’s lighting system-spanning streetlamps, riverside strips, building outlines, and park landscapes-creates a unified "point-line-surface" network. The result is a nightscape blending the romance of "twinkling lights" with the warmth of "welcoming glow." These luminous touches not only highlight the city’s texture but also reflect Altay’s commitment to beauty-driven development.
