Xiamen Completes Lighting Upgrades on Three Major Bridges and Key Traffic Routes
After years of service, the original lighting systems on Xiamen's three major bridges had deteriorated significantly, suffering from severe light decay, inadequate illumination, and excessive glare. These issues not only failed to meet the lighting standards for urban expressways and primary highways but also posed substantial safety risks for nighttime drivers. Additionally, aging cables and outdated distribution boxes presented hidden dangers and complicated maintenance efforts.

Targeted Renovation for Safer Roads
The upgrade project "addressed the root causes" with comprehensive solutions:
Replacement of 7,412 sets of LED barrier lights
Installation of over 20,000 meters of new cables
Deployment of 557 modern switchgear power boxes
Key Benefits of the New Lighting System
Enhanced Safety & Visibility
The high-efficiency LED barrier lights provide precise illumination, eliminating glare while significantly improving road brightness.
Upgraded cables and power boxes eliminate electrical hazards at the source.
Sustainability & Efficiency
LED street lights offer longer lifespans, energy savings, and environmental benefits.
The optimized power box layout streamlines maintenance, reducing future operational costs.
The revamped lighting system now acts as a "safety umbrella" for nighttime travelers, ensuring safer and more comfortable journeys. This project marks a critical step in Xiamen’s efforts to modernize urban infrastructure and enhance road safety.
