LED Streetlights Achieve Full Coverage in Farmers' Resettlement Communities in Taicang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu
This year, Shaxi Town in Taicang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, installed approximately 100 new LED streetlights in four farmers' resettlement communities: Yangguang New Village, Guanzhuang New Village, Xiangqiao New Village, and Taixi New Village. With the completion of the streetlight illumination project, a total of 20 farmers' resettlement communities in the Shaxi area have now achieved full streetlight coverage, spanning a total area of 4 million square meters.

The westernmost section of Xiangqiao New Village is part of the expanded area of the Xiangqiao New Village resettlement community. Construction began in 2021, covering an area of about 35,000 square meters. Currently, more than 70 newly built houses in this section have been largely completed.
This year, the Shaxi Town Construction Management Office installed 33 new LED streetlights in the western section of Xiangqiao New Village, primarily addressing lighting gaps in public areas such as the community's main roads.
In addition to Xiangqiao New Village, Shaxi Town also concentrated efforts on installing streetlights in three other recently expanded or newly built farmers' resettlement communities: Yangguang New Village, Guanzhuang New Village, and Taixi New Village. Specifically, 20 new streetlights were added to Yangguang New Village, 28 to Guanzhuang New Village, and 18 to Taixi New Village. These newly installed lights cover public areas such as main roads, side streets, parking lots, and squares in each community. Not only do they illuminate residents' paths at night, but they also exemplify how "small streetlights" can drive "great happiness," adding a warm touch to rural revitalization.
