Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing Successfully Completes Installation of Sidewalk Lighting on Liwen Street

Liwen Street, located next to Lijia Middle School, has been experiencing insufficient nighttime illumination on its sidewalks due to tall and dense trees, posing safety risks for students traveling to and from school. The issue was particularly pronounced during the morning and evening rush hours when student foot traffic was high, exacerbating the poor lighting conditions. Previously, the Urban Management Bureau of Liangjiang New Area had conducted significant pruning of the trees along this sidewalk, but the results were still unsatisfactory, with dim lighting persisting at night.

In line with the requirements of the "Yucheng Student Protection" initiative and to effectively ensure student safety by eliminating hazards on the sidewalk, Liangjiang Smart City Investment Company swiftly organized a construction team after receiving the task from the Urban Management Bureau. The team conducted an on-site survey of the sidewalk in the relevant section and developed a detailed construction plan. Promptly, additional sidewalk lights were installed on the existing streetlight poles to enhance illumination and ensure the safety of students at night.

The implementation of this lighting upgrade project has not only resolved the lighting issues around Lijia Middle School but also provided a reference for improving lighting conditions near other schools.
